1940s /1950s Bespoke Gold Ball/prom/cocktail dress Chinese brocade

This incredible dress is unique: we suspect it was made during rationing as the fabric weight and pattern is similar to light weight upholstery fabric. This is possibly silk, and is gold with an oriental design of pagodas, trees and boats. It was modelled at the Farnham Maltings in June in their runway show. It is incredible.
The outside of the dress is perfect, but there is discolouration to the stiffened lining.
WRap over at the bust, sewn down pleating at the waist to fit, slight tulip wrap effect at the front, full skirt, deep V back with metal zip, no labels, matching clutch bag in same fabric. Inside belt to help fit at waist. bodice lined with satin.
